    PART 3 : PURPOSE, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES 

    3.1 Purpose (mission, mandate) of the organisation: 

    Manufacture and sale of card clothing. Main thrust being on"customer satisfaction" 3.2 Responsibilities or activities related to occupational safety and health: 
  • Plan, develop and implement occupational safety and health training programmes
  • Serve as clearing house for occupational safety and health information, methods, techniques and approaches
  • Disseminate occupational safety and health information
  • Monitor work environments and conduct medical examinations of workers
  • Issue technical guidelines for prevention of occupational diseases and accidents.
